The Foresthill Heritage Community Garden is a community resource providing raised beds, gardening tips and seminars, along with a relaxing environment to enjoy.

The Foresthill Trails Alliance (FTA) is a community organization whose purpose is to preserve, maintain and develop multi-use trails on the Foresthill Divide and to work in conjunction with other groups that promote and preserve multi-use trails throughout California.
The FTA works
• to promote and encourage close working relationships between trail organizations • to promote legislation to permanently preserve and protect established and new trails • to work together with federal, state and local agencies to assist with the maintenance of trails and to promote the establishment of new trials.

In 2018 and 2019, the FCDC, through a generous Grant from the Placer Community Foundation, organized and hosted several
“Civil Discourse” workshops that the entire community could attend.
August 2018 – 3 hour workshop titled
“Civil Discourse 101”
October 2018 – 2 hour training class titled “Civility Training for your Board of Directors
November 2018 – event entitled “Civil Communication, Family, Friends and Associates”
March 2019 – workshop entitled
“Kimochis-Because Feelings Fuel Behaviors” which was focused on younger children recognizing and expressing their feelings in a civil manner
